Open Mind 2017

Open Mind is a program of Telenor Bulgaria for professional development and social inclusion of people with disabilities. Participants in the program have the chance to work on a specific project in the company for a period of two years and improve their competitiveness in the labor market. The company provides an open and accessible work environment. After successful completion of the program, Telenor provides permanent employment or supports candidates for securing roles in the market place.
The program is held annually as part of the company’s long-term Sustainability strategy and under the Telenor Group Open Mind global initiative.
In 2017 we took a totally new approach. We decided to reach bigger audience. So we expanded the scope of the program and introduced the cause to other responsible companies, sharing valuable experience. We gathered representatives from Coca-Cola HBS, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Societe Generale, Stanton Chase, American College of Sofia, Mentormate, Musala Soft, Technologica, Zagorka and others and presented them the specifics of building adaptation, recruitment, daily work and professional development of participants.
Since its launch in 2015, the program has received a lot of attention from Bulgarian media, governmental and non-governmental institutions. With all posts and publications we can estimate that the potential reach is around 100 000 people with disabilities.
