10 MINUTES JUST FOR YOU

Information campaign on cervical cancer prevention "10 minutes just for you" started in May 2017. The main objective of the initiative is to raise public awareness of the benefits of vaccine prophylaxis and to emphasize the need to increase the vaccine coverage for cervical cancer.

The campaign is quite courageous in its concept, being organized at a time, when anti-vaccine movements are extremely strong and vaccine coverage in Bulgaria is extremely low. However, the project has the ambition to change public attitudes to vaccines, increase patient and doctor confidence in the preventive measures of the vaccine, and provide up-to-date information on HIV-related diseases and the need for prevention.

The campaign relies heavily on digital communications to reach as many people as possible and to engage them in seeking new and reliable information about vaccines. To this end, "10-minute" pages have been created in Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, and two social media games have also been organized. The issue of the need for vaccine prophylaxis has also been popularized in one of Nova TV's most viewed TV series "Stolen life".

The organizer of the initiative is the National Association for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer with the support of MSD. The "ambassadors" of the campaign - the actresses Elena Petrova and Yoana Bukovska-Davidova are committed to actively cooperating and spreading the messages of the campaign.
