Plovdiv, Bulgaria’s second biggest city has been continuously inhabited since the 6th millennium BC. Building on its rich heritage, the city is transforming into an innovative and modern business outsourcing and industrial destination. The region is the country’s industrial hub, while the IT and outsourcing sector have grown rapidly. Plovdiv provides all the necessary favorable conditions for business development — a great location, very good logistics links, availability of human resources and appropriate educational institutions as well as a well-functioning, efficient and friendly to business administration. In order to promote the above facts, Publicis Groupe Bulgaria created an integrated campaign in the period May – September 2015, where PR activities played the key role in communication. Through the implementation of targeted activities, such as regular distribution of press information and generation of publications, organization of media events, partnerships with local and foreigner chambers of commerce, dedicated events for foreign investors, short video testimonials and an award ceremony we presented Plovdiv as one of the most attractive places to invest in Bulgaria and showed the potential of the region. All activities were combined under one common slogan - Investment Destination Plovdiv. According to data of Industry Watch published in October 2015, Plovdiv is the country’s second region in terms of employment and its leading industrial center.
