Night/ Plovdiv 2015 Art Festival

The Night/ Plovdiv festival has become popular for the first time as “Night of museums and galleries in Plovdiv” in 2005. The event is traditionally organized in September each year by the Open Arts Foundation. As other “white nights” events around the world, the concept of The Night is to meet the audience with artists, art and culture in untypical evening and night hours in galleries, museums, theatres, but also clubs, libraries, outside in the streets or any other unusual city spots. In 2015 The Night marked its 11th consecutive edition introducing its new name Night/ Plovdiv and new logo. Every year the festival attracts thousands of visitors in the second largest city in Bulgaria, Plovdiv. Following the tradition of previous years, OAF has divided the events in The Night 2015 on two consecutive days – 11 and 12 September, and into three sections – Museums & Galleries, Culture & Club, and City and Public Spaces. Two other focal points in the program of 2015 were the Curatorial Program and the Kids Program. Related PR was in charge of preparing and executing communications strategy for presenting the new brand and raising the awareness among the public, also recognizing the event as a modern art festival and platform for innovative art projects. The main communication goal was to underline the competitive advantages of the festival content in comparison to its rivals and “win the battle for the free time” of the target audience.
