Jury

BAPRA Bright Awards is the first PR contest in Bulgaria where the evaluation will be conducted by foreign jury members only. The jury members are recognized communication experts with many years’ experience in the field.

David Gallagher


Mr. Gallagher is the Jury Chairman of BAPRA Bright Awards 2014. He is a President of the International Communications Consultancies Organization (ICCO). Mr. Gallagher is a Senior Partner and CEO of Ketchum’s European operations and chairman of the UK agency. He brings more than 20 years of public relations experience, both as a client and as a senior agency adviser, to some of the world’s leading brands and companies. Mr. Gallaher also is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in the U.K., a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Advisory Council on the Future of Media, and a board director and past chairman of the British Public Relations Consultants Association. He is a regular speaker and writer on matters related to international public relations. In 2013 David served as Jury President of the PR Lions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. He is a journalism graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

Alexandre Cordeiro


He is shareholder, manager and founder of C&C - Consultores de Comunicação, Lda (Portugal) since 1979.Currently, he is a Board member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).

Anastasia Demidova


She is the General Manager of International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO). Prior to joining ICCO Anastasia worked as the Communications Executive at the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) of United Kingdom. She has a background in journalism and political campaigning.

Andrey Barannikov


He is the CEO of SPN Communications agency with offices in Moscow, St Petersburg and Kiev. Andrey has had 24 years of experience in public relations. Mr. Barannikov is a Member of the Executive Committee of the International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO) since 2013, the Chairman of AKOS (the Russian branch of ICCO) since 2012, the Vice President of the Russian Public Relations Association (RASO) since 2002 and also the Chairman of the North-Western branch of RASO since 2003. He is a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and an Academician at the Russian Public Relations Academy (RAOS). Mr. Barannikov is the winner of many prestigious Russian and international industry awards: SABRE Awards (2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), Global SABRE Awards (2011, 2012, 2013), IPRA Golden World Awards (2002, 2004, 2010, 2012, 2013), IABC Gold Quill (2012), Cannes Corporate TV & Media Awards (2011, 2012), Media Manager of Russia (2006, 2011), The Silver Archer (2002, 2007, 2008, 2009) and others. He is the founder and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Baltic Weekend international communications forum, www.balticweekend.com/en (since 2001) and the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the nationwide public relations contest PROBA-IPRA Golden World Awards, www.pr-proba.ru (since 2000). He is a judge and expert at numerous industry contests.

Andrew Johnson


Managing Director and Partner of the Havas Public Affairs office in Brussels. A qualified barrister, Andrew has over 22 years of experience of EU law and public affairs. With expertise in all aspects of Internal Market policy, health, environmental, consumer protection, industry, competition and trade policy, he has managed many major and pan-European campaigns. He chaired the AMCHAM EU Better Regulation Taskforce from 2001-2003, he served as a Council Member of the British Chamber of Commerce 2003-2007 and in 2007 he was elected Vice President of the Public Affairs Committee of COBCOE (the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe) a position he still holds. Andrew has served on the Management Committee of EPACA (the European Association of Public Affairs Consultancies) since 2007 and he was responsible for redrafting the Code of Conduct and procedural guidelines. He is also responsible for ethical and professional training within the Association. He is a visiting lecturer on EU lobbying theory and practice at the Université Dauphine, Paris. He regularly writes and speaks on public affairs.

Anna Krajewska


She is a CEO and founder of NBS Communications. Founded in 1989, NBS is one of the first public relations agencies in Poland and remains an independent agency owned by its key consultants. Anna is a member of Polish PR Ethics Council.

Bart de Vries


He has been a Board member of International Public Relations Association (IPRA) since 2009. Mr. Vries is a professional with over 25 years’ experience in public relations and managing director of PR/PA agency HvdM - one of the two oldest PR agencies in the Netherlands. He is experienced in corporate reputation, PR marketing and crisis communication. Mr. de Vries runs workshops on communication creativity, media transparency, crisis preparedness and crisis communications. He has devised Corporate Social Responsibility programs and supervised implementation. Bart is a member of the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD). He is an editor of one of the most widely used handbook in academics on public relations in the Netherlands.

Daiva Lialyte


She is a Managing Director and Board member of Integrity PR. The agency she heads had won 6 international PR Awards so far. She is a lecturer at Vilnius University, Communication Faculty. Miss Lialyte is a Board member of SOS Children’s Villages Lithuania. She is a Member of Honour tribunal and a Board member of Association of Public Relations agencies. She graduated from ISM University of Management and Economics in 2005 receiving a Master degree in Management. In 2002, Daiva graduated from Vilnius University, International Business School receiving a BA in Management.

John Saunders


Regional President of Fleishman-Hillard for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and a member of Fleishman Hillard’s Senior Management Committee reporting directly to President and CEO – Mr. Dave Senay. He brings decades of communications expertise to his role as FleishmanHillard regional president of EMEA. Saunders oversees a vast network of agency and affiliate offices. Among his previous leadership roles with the firm, he was managing director for the firm’s Dublin office, which he founded in 1990. A former Radio Telefis Eireann journalist, Saunders served as president of The International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO) and has been a member of the Europe and Central Asia Committee of the World Economic Forum. He is a member of the European Association of Communications Directors (EACD).

Elena Fadeeva


She heads FleishmanHillard Vanguard in Russia and is expanding its activities in the CIS. She is a senior consultant to the firm’s clients on reputation management, public affairs and international communications. Elena founded Vanguard PR in Moscow in 1993. She holds leading positions in several NGOs in Russia, including honorary chairwoman of the board of the Russian Association of Communications Consultancies, head of Communications Group of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, head of Professional Services Industrial Committee, Association of Managers of Russia. Elena was named one of Russia’s leading executives by Association of Managers of Russia and Kommersant Daily in 2012 and 2013, and received the Media Manager of the Year 2013 Award for Contribution to the Development of the Industry. Elena is an Associate Professor at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, leads special program at the Philosophy Department of the Moscow State University and in Saint Petersburg State University.

Dr. Zehra Güngör


She has been appointed as President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) for 2014.  She is a member of TUHID (Turkish Public Relations Association) also a founding member and former board member of KAGIDER (Turkish Women’s Entrepreneurs Association) and Propeller Club.Dr. Güngör worked as an economics journalist for 20 years before founding a PR consultancy, STAGE Communications Consultancy in 1999. Dr. Güngör has been a member of IPRA for 12 years and has served on both the Council and Board for some 9 years.  Dr. Zehra Güngör is the holder of an MA and PhD in communications together with a BA in English Literature. She also lectures in communications at two private universities in Turkey.

Christophe Ginisty


He is an international public relations guru and a specialist of social media, reputation management and crisis communications in the digital age. Mr. Ginisty is the creator and the organizer of the ReputationWar International conference. Its first edition was held in Paris on January 11, 2013. He previously worked at Edelman — the largest PR firm in the world — at the leadership position of European Digital Evangelist and Deputy Managing Director for Europe Middle East and Africa (2011-2012). He was the President of the International Public Relations Association for 2013. In 2008, he founded Internet sans frontières (Internet without borders) an NGO devoted to promote the freedom of speech online. It was renamed to WebDiversity in 2011.

Ksenija Renko


Founder and Managing Director of Jupiter Strategic Communications. Mrs. Renko is a Senior Communication Expert on EU projects in Adriatic Region specialized in anti-corruption issues. She is also Founder, former President and Vice President at Croatian Professional Association of Public Relations. Mrs. Renko is an editor of the first Croatian Public Relations Manual.

Loula Zaklama


President and Managing Director of Rada Research & Public Relations Co and past world President IPRA (2006). Mrs. Zaklama is a public relations and marketing expert with 50 years of experience in communication sector. Her special expertise lies in designing marketing and communication strategies, for Multinational and Egyptian companies in Egypt. She was selected as one of the 50 Arab leading businesswomen in the Middle East 2006, by Forbes Middle East and as one of the 50 Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World by the Star Group, sponsored by IBM and Fortune Magazine, in May, 1998. Mrs. Zaklama received the Atlas Award International Lifetime Achievement from the Public Relations Society of America in October 2007. In 2013, she was awarded the International Advertising Association (IAA) recognition for her contribution to the communication industry for over 50 years.

Paul Haugen


Partner and Director of Planning for EMEA FleishmanHillard. In this role, he is responsible for research, analytics and insight development for pan-regional and significant local clients. He also leads the firm’s Strategic Integration efforts bringing clients idea-centric ideas that are realised in paid, earned, social and owned media. Paul Haugen is one of the most experienced strategic planners and facilitators in the public relations industry. He has 30 Years International Public Relations Consultancy Experience in the U.S. and EMEA working for Golin/Harris, Hill and Knowlton, Edelman and The Engine Group. He has worked cross-discipline including consumer, corporate, B2B, technology, and health. He has led planning for multi-year, global programmes for McDonald’s, Shell, Unilever and Coca-Cola. He has twice been awarded UK PR Week Magazine’s Best International Campaign of the Year.

Richard Linning


Richard Linning, founder and senior partner in The Stablehouse Partnership, was the 2011 President of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).  In recognition of his promotion of the free flow of information as a key component of a democratic society, he was made an Honorary Fellow of the Senate of the University of Bucharest. He continues to campaign for ethical practice in all forms of communication. Richard has just completed a year as Scholar-in-Residence at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte NC. During a career in international public relations, he has been responsible for public and corporate affairs, marketing campaigns, crisis management, international media and public relations programme coordination and mentoring on every continent. His recent roles have included corporate social responsibility strategy development in a number of Middle East countries and Africa; anti-corruption and justice communication governance in South East Europe, particularly Romania; accessing EU funds, and strategic communication training for civil servants from Africa, Asia and the former Eastern European states.

Francis Ingham


He is a Chief Executive of the International Communication Consultancy Organization (ICCO), the global PR body which represents over 1700 agencies through 29 national associations in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and Australasia. He is a General Director of the UK Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA).

Jurgen Gangoly


He is a Managing Director of the Austrian PR agency The Skills Group, an affiliate of FleishmanHillard International Communications. Mr. Gangoly is a Board member of the Austrian Public Relations Association (PRVA), responsible for International Affairs and Quality Standards; a Board member of PR Quality Austria (PRQA) and a Board member of the International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO) representing Austria. He is specialized in issue management, crisis communications and high-end strategy consulting. In the recent years, together with his agency team, he became internationally one of the most-awarded European PR experts and won since 2010: 5-times the SABRE Gold Awards (EMEA), 4-times the 1st prize of the Austrian Best Practice Award, the International German PR Prize (2013), two German PR Report Awards and – also 2013 – for the third time the renown Austrian State PR Award. Mr. Gangoly is an author of several publications on online communications and E-Commerce and regularly active as a lecturer on social media and mass communications.

Jan Boman


Jan Boman is an experienced PR and PA professional based in Copenhagen, covering the Nordic and the Arctic – including Greenland, which has his special interest. He is a Managing Partner of Boman Communications/PRN Denmark and was earlier Vice Chairman of the Danish Association of PR Agencies and served on the Board of Management of ICCO and as a judge on European PR Awards. He is a graduate from Copenhagen Business School – not in communications or anything remotely close to it, but in the sinister field of Logistics and Management. He eventually worked his way into communications, public relations and public affairs – sometimes successful, but always trying to stick to the principle ‘Less is more - except when complicated looks really cool.’

Yanina Dubeykovskaya, PhD


CEO of "Тоp Communications" GmbH (Austria), co-Chair of the WCFDavos Committee and Content Director of the World Communication Forum Davos, Switzerland. The Forum is held annually and summoning top trend-makers and leading experts from the communications industry. In her career Yanina has occupied the positions of Corporate, Media and Political Communications Manager. She has led the campaign for presidential elections in Russia in 2004. She has managed over 30 campaigns in the politics and elections sector. During the period of the Russian energy industry privatization she was Head of the PR & IR Departments of the largest energy company in Russia – OGK1. She holds a PHD and MBA in marketing from MIRBIS – Moscow Business School.
